Buckingham Electrical were contracted to fit out a meter room for a multi-occupancy residential building in Solihull. A crucial aspect of this project involved close collaboration with National Grid PLC to understand and accommodate their specific requirements for installing tails and meters from the main incoming supply to the building.
Upon receiving National Grid's requirements, Buckingham Electrical executed a comprehensive design and build strategy. The objective was to streamline wiring for National Grid by implementing a 6x6" galvanised trunking system. The intricacy of the project lay not in its simplicity but in the strategic planning required to house all 70 isolators within the confines of the room, ensuring compliance with National Grid's stringent specifications.
Every residential SWA supply was neatly glanded and terminated into 80A isolators. This seemingly straightforward project demonstrated its complexity through the need for meticulous planning and execution.
